Blow Molding Machine Introduction

Blow molding is a common method for manufacturing hollow thermoplastic products, the main products are cylinder film and hollow containers. Hollow blow molding machine can plasticize preformed products by adding heat and then enter the mold to blow into shape, this method is mainly used for high speed and high output PET bottle and BOPP bottle production, i.e. two-step process.

Blow molding can also be combined with injection molding process to become an integrated injection, pulling and blowing machine, which is also a common method of producing PET containers; blow molding process can also be combined with extrusion process, extrusion blow molding equipment to adapt to a wider range of products can also be produced more abundant products, including multi-layer composite film and various types of polyolefin hollow containers, widely used in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Blow molding machines can be used to plasticize preformed products by heating them up and then entering the mold to blow them into shape, a method mainly used for high-speed, high-volume production of PET and BOPP bottles, i.e., a two-step process.

Blow molding can also be combined with injection molding process to become an integrated injection, pulling and blowing machine, which is also a common method for producing containers in PET; plastic is melted and extruded quantitatively in a screw extruder, then shaped through the mouth film, then there is air ring blowing and cooling, then there is a haul-off machine to haul off at a certain speed, and a winding machine to wind it into a roll. After the liquid plastic is sprayed out, the wind blown out by the machine is used to blow the plastic body attached to a certain shape of the mold cavity to make the product, and this machine is called a blow molding machine.

The plastic blanks are placed in the folio mold while hot, and compressed air is introduced into the blanks immediately after the mold is closed, so that the plastic blanks are blown and cling to the inner wall of the mold, and are cooled and demolded to obtain various hollow products. The manufacturing process of blown film is very similar to hollow products blow molding in principle, but it does not use molds, and from the perspective of plastic processing technology classification, the molding process of blown film is usually included in extrusion.
